the actual earrings are beautiful and work as expected. the backing of the earrings is what I have a problem with. I got these earrings for my mom for mother's Day and she can't have anything but sterling silver, I figured 14k white gold would do well and it does! what isn't white gold or sterling silver is the backs of the earrings which gave her an infection after about three days of wearing them. if they end up having a 14k white gold screw on backing or a sterling silver version I am very open to buying them, but I am unsure on why they aren't included with this purchase in the first place.

The earrings are beautiful. However, because they are real gold, the earring rod & back are VERY small. I recommend putting them on/taking them off over a white towel. I had a really hard time putting them on & when I took them off, I lost the back to one of them. Fortunately, I found it with flashlight.
